Travis Lakata is a writer living in Baltimore with his wife, daughter, and son. He enjoys making his wife and kids laugh, date nights, trying new foods, traveling (or watching travel videos), comic books, board games, and rewatching his favorite TV shows and movies.
Travis writes about entertainment, parenting, or any combination of the two at sites such as Fanbase Press, Dork Side of the Force, and Hidden Remote. He covers TV shows ranging from Survivor to anything Star Wars or Marvel-related.
Travis has created the Geeky Parent Guide, a place to help parents navigate pop culture with their kids, and also co-created the Winey Parent where he and his wife have shared their parenting adventures, along with some helpful tips and product reviews.
Travis has published five novels, writes short stories, and always texts story ideas to himself when he’s away from his computer. His B.S. in Communication comes from Radford University, with a concentration in Public Relations and minor in Marketing.
